In the fall elections, there are clear choices:
If you want higher taxes, vote for a Democrat. The latest example of how the Democrats love taxes is their blocking of a Republican plan to make the repeal of the inheritance tax permanent. Read the story about that here.
If the want the leadership in Congress turned over to ultra liberals like Ted Kennedy, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi, vote for a Democrat. Read the story "Liberals in line for key posts if Democrats win House" here.
If you want to weaken our military and return to a "cut and run" mind set ala Bill Clinton and John Kerry, vote for a Democrat.
Remember the U.S. defeat and retreat in Mogadishu in 1993 and how Bill Clinton became reluctant to use military intervention in Third World conflicts? Read about that here. One tragic result of that policy change was our failure to assist in halting of the massive genocide in Rwanda and Burundi in 1994.
Don't misunderstand, Republicans aren't perfect; only Jesus is perfect. However, all one has to do is watch and listen to the evening news to see how the current Democrat party has deteriorated even more to a party of gloom and doom and negativism.
America is a great country and the people who live here are good and decent. But, we face serious problems and threats. Think before you vote. In my mind, the choices are clear.

Army Meets Recruiting Goal for 12th Consecutive Month
The Army exceeded it's recruiting goal for 2006 which is the 12th consecutive month it met it's goal.
Remember the howling from the Dems and the MSM before June 2005 when the Army missed it's goal four months in a row?
I doubt we'll see or hear much about the good news about Army recruiting.
Dems and MSM: "eat your words".

Christian Based Prison Program Ruled Unconstitutional
A federal judge ruled that a Iowa prison treatment program based on Christianity is unconstitutional.
The InnerChange program sponsored by Prison Fellowship Ministries serves 210 prisoners in Newton Correctional Facility. The program is Biblically based and focuses on education, counseling and work.

VeriChip Update
Remember the VeriChip? It's a tiny ID tag implanted under the skin. Read my previous post about it here.
Now it's being touted by the Chairman of the Board of VeriChip Corporation as a good way to track seasonal guest workers. Read the story about that here.
I think this is a very bad idea and I pray it never becomes widely used in the USA for guest workers or anyone else.
